Artsakh official stresses need for solidarity, common purpose

Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the Justice faction in the National Assembly of Artsakh, told reporters that the authorities are following a clear plan and will not deviate from it, regardless of the current conditions or demands of the displaced people from Artsakh.

She noted that the Council for the Protection of the Rights of Artsakh Armenians is planning meetings with the sole purpose of achieving unity, according to Panorama.am .

"The executive members of our party will soon meet with the council's representatives. The aim is one—broad consolidation. Our party has always supported unity, setting aside all political goals and ambitions. This time is no different; we have fully embraced the call because we all strive toward the same objective. Therefore, we must walk the same path—together," Hakobyan stated.

"Today, we gladly accepted the invitation to participate in discussions, where we will listen to the council’s plans and contribute our proposals. After the consultation process concludes, as I understand, we will move to practical steps," she added.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry stated: "We have repeatedly declared in the past that during negotiations with Azerbaijan, Armenia was working to ensure the safety and rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, including through the creation of an international mechanism to address those issues. Efforts to organize meetings between representatives of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh in third countries were also aimed at this goal, but these were rejected by Nagorno-Karabakh. Following the decree announcing the forced displacement of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians and the dissolution of the region, the issue has been removed from the Armenia-Azerbaijan interstate agenda."
