Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, and Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan are in Turkey to take part in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, according to RFE/RL.
Kostanyan has already met with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ayşe Ekinci, as announced on X. He described the meeting as significant for normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations and exploring potential areas of cooperation.
As part of the forum, Mirzoyan will join a panel discussion with the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Georgia. The topic of the panel is “Regional cooperation in the South Caucasus: challenges and opportunities.”
Rubinyan, also present at the forum, serves as Armenia’s special envoy in the normalization process with Turkey. However, it remains unclear whether he will meet with his Turkish counterpart Serdar Kılıç.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is also attending the event and has already met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
This is Armenia’s third time attending the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. Bilateral meetings are also planned as part of the working visit.
