Armenia has accused Azerbaijani forces of firing toward the village of Khnatsakh in Syunik Province on April 13 at around 10:20 p.m., damaging the local cultural center, according to the Ministry of Defense. No casualties were reported.
In an official statement, Armenia called on Azerbaijan to investigate the shelling of the cultural center and provide a public explanation.
The Armenian Prime Minister’s Office has proposed establishing a joint mechanism with Azerbaijan to examine ceasefire violations and related reports. However, Yerevan says Baku has yet to respond.
Since March 16, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has repeatedly disseminated disinformation, alleging that Armenia has opened fire, claims consistently denied by Yerevan. The European Union Monitoring Mission has also refuted Baku’s accusations and increased night patrols.
