On April 15 in Brussels, Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan held a meeting with European Parliament Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius. The sides discussed potential areas for cooperation in defense and the military industry.
Grigoryan outlined the steps taken by the Armenian government to develop the defense and military industry sectors and presented national priorities set in these fields.
Kubilius, in turn, detailed the European Union’s vision for defense and defense industry cooperation, explaining the strategic approaches developed within the EU and the corresponding action plans.
Grigoryan thanked the EU for its support provided through the European Peace Facility, highlighting its significance for strengthening Armenia’s resilience.
In 2024, Armenia’s armed forces received €10 million in support under the European Peace Facility framework.
