On April 12, the 10th annual DigiCode Youth Applied Programming Competition took place, marking a milestone year for the event. The anniversary competition was supported by IDBank and Idram as the main partners, represented through their impactful "The Power of One Dram" initiative.
During the opening ceremony, Sergey Arakelyan, Director of Digital Banking at IDBank, welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of initiatives like DigiCode in shaping Armenia’s technological future: “We live in an era where a single idea, a single innovation, can transform reality overnight. Today’s event is a testament to that power of innovation. IDBank and Idram joined DigiCode 2025 with the “The Power of One Dram” initiative for this very reason,” said Arakelyan.
Sargis Karapetyan, Director of the UATE, highlighted the importance of collaboration in bringing ambitious ideas to life. He emphasized that large-scale initiatives like DigiCode are only possible with the support of like-minded partners: “When it comes to implementing any idea, having the right partners makes all the difference. As for our collaboration with “The Power of One Dram”, words aren’t enough to express how many significant issues can be addressed with just one dram,” said Karapetyan.
This year, DigiCode 2025 attracted over 1,600 students from Armenia and abroad. After several rounds of selection, the most outstanding projects were showcased during the final stage of the competition.
Adding a special spark to the event was none other than Idram Junior, the most cheerful guest of the day. With endless energy, Idram Junior spent the day engaging with kids, posing for photos, and introducing them to the ease and safety of contactless payments.
Beyond financial support, IDBank and Idram also contributed to the educational value of the event by organizing an online financial literacy seminar for the participants, helping to expand their knowledge alongside their coding skills.
The day concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the best teams. Staying true to the digital spirit of the event, the prizes for all winners were given in the form of idcoins, making DigiCode 2025 not just the most creative, but also the most digital competition of the year.
