A memorial liturgy commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide was held at Saint-Sulpice Church in Paris.
As part of events marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, Armenia’s Ambassador to France Arman Khachatryan and the diplomatic staff of the Armenian Embassy participated in the traditional mass organized by the Catholic Church of France in memory of the genocide victims, according to the Armenian Embassy in France.
The liturgy, conducted in the Armenian rite, was led by Bishop Elie Yéghiayan, head of the Armenian Catholic Eparchy in France. Also taking part were Bishop Grégoire Khachatryan, head of the Armenian Apostolic Diocese in France; Joël Mikaelian, leader of the French Armenian Evangelical Church; Archbishop Emmanuel Tois of the Catholic Church in France; and several clergy from sister churches.
Among the attendees were diplomats accredited in France, French public and political figures, members of French-Armenian community organizations, faithful from the Armenian Catholic Church of France, and hundreds of French Christians.
