Responding to claims that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (ESCS) avoided commenting on its role in organizing Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming concert due to backlash from the Snoop Dogg case, Minister Zhanna Andreasyan firmly denied the suggestion, reports Panorama.am .
She emphasized that the ministry had no involvement in the organizational aspects from the beginning.
“Our policy is to encourage international stars to perform in Armenia, as such events help position the country as an attractive platform and a tourism development destination,” Andreasyan stated.
However, Andreasyan did not respond directly to whether the government is supporting Lopez’s concert in any capacity.
Additionally, the minister mentioned that the funds previously paid to Snoop Dogg have yet to be reimbursed.
Pop icon Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to perform in Yerevan on August 3 at Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium as part of her Up All Night world tour.
