Honoring Genocide victims is a duty, Belgian lawmaker says

Belgian politician Georges Dalman has emphasized that honoring the memory of the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide, which took place 110 years ago, is a moral responsibility. He made these remarks in Brussels, according to Armenpress.

Dalman stressed that humanity can only progress by looking at its past with calm, clarity, and courage.

"We reaffirm our commitment to fight denial and oblivion. A century and a decade later, the pain of generations remains, but their dignity and bravery continue to inspire. We stand with them to keep this memory alive, to ensure such horrors never happen again.

By honoring the victims of the Armenian Genocide, we underline that humanity can only move forward by facing its past with a calm, clear, and courageous gaze," said the Belgian politician.
