Тsarukyan: need for unity stronger than ever

Founder of the Prosperous Armenia Party and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, in his message marking the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, said that this year’s commemoration comes amid new losses, emerging challenges, and a historical phase of shifting global relations. He emphasized that today, more than ever, there is a pressing need for internal reconciliation.

Tsarukyan stressed that nothing can force the Armenian people to forget their history or deny the memory of innocent victims.

“On this sacred day of remembrance, Armenians from around the world, dispersed by the Genocide, and friends of our people bow in reverence.

Nothing can break the dreams and determination of countless generations to build a peaceful and prosperous country and to preserve the homeland dreamt of for centuries by all Armenians.

Following the ethnic cleansing and displacement in Artsakh, we have come to value our homeland and national unity in a new light, as we strive to protect it for future generations. We also now reassess our national institutions of unity—our language, culture, and church.

On the 100th anniversary of the Genocide, I built the Holy Martyrs Church as a symbol of memory and reverence. This year, we are called not only to remember and honor our victims but also to support one another through increasingly difficult times.

Today, more than ever, we need internal reconciliation, unity within the Armenian world, national revival, and state restoration,” the message concludes.
