Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the I Have Honor parliamentary faction, stated that Azerbaijan’s activities in the border regions, particularly near Khnatsakh and Khoznavar, have recently become increasingly targeted.

In a Facebook post, he said: "Conversations with locals and periodic reports from the Ministry of Defense show that, unlike during the initial phase of violations, Azerbaijani gunfire now carries a deliberate, targeted nature.

I am not suggesting that the answer lies in rash actions or overt provocations. However, this situational shift, though gradual, clearly records a steady increase in danger.

The authorities are visibly responding inadequately to the situation, whether in the information sphere, diplomatic channels, or on the ground itself. This disproportionate response primarily impacts residents of border villages, especially since the current leadership’s attitude and actions fail to inspire confidence among the majority of the population," Abrahamyan wrote.

On April 20, around 2:30 a.m., Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire toward the village of Khoznavar in Armenia's Syunik Province, damaging a solar water heater installed on the roof of a residential home.

Since March 16, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has been consistently spreading disinformation about alleged Armenian gunfire. Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has systematically denied these claims, with the European Union monitoring mission also refuting Baku’s disinformation.
