Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has congratulated Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and his Liberal Party on their victory in Canada’s federal elections. He posted his message on X.

“Warm congratulations to Mark Carney and the Liberal Party on their victory in Canada's federal elections. Armenia values its relationship with Canada, grounded in friendship and shared values. We look forward to strengthening and deepening our mutually beneficial partnership,” Pashinyan wrote.

In the parliamentary elections held in Canada on April 28, the Liberal Party, led by Prime Minister Mark Carney, secured 168 seats. The Conservative Party came in second with 144 seats. A party must secure at least 172 seats to hold a majority in the 343-seat parliament.
