Armenia is set to participate once again in the Unity EURO Cup 2025, an international football tournament dedicated to refugees.
The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) have announced the start of team formation for amateur footballers with refugee status who will represent Armenia at the tournament this October, according to Aysor.am .
The Unity EURO Cup is a joint initiative by UEFA and UNHCR aimed at fostering social integration of refugees through football.
The team will be open to both male and female players. Applicants must meet the following criteria: be aged 18–40, have prior football experience, hold officially recognized refugee status with valid documentation, reside permanently in Armenia, possess a travel document, be available for two two-hour training sessions per week, and be willing to travel to the Netherlands for three days in October.
