According to Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Khachatur Poghosyan, 20,770 individuals were granted Armenian citizenship in 2024 by presidential decrees.

He made the announcement during a joint session of parliamentary standing committees reviewing the annual report on the execution of the 2024 state budget.

Poghosyan stated that 185 decrees concerning citizenship were issued by the President of Armenia in 2024, based on recommendations from relevant government authorities. As a result, 20,770 individuals were granted Armenian citizenship.

Additionally, 3,746 individuals had their Armenian citizenship terminated by presidential decree.
