The Union of Armenians of Greece, led by Archbishop Khoren Arakelian of the Armenian Apostolic Diocese of Greece and joined by Greek-Armenian Friendship Group member Misak Hovsepyan, met with Vassilis Maragos, head of the EU Delegation to Armenia.

Discussions focused on Armenia-EU relations, the EU’s role in Armenia’s border security, and current difficulties Armenian citizens face in obtaining visas for EU countries.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the EU monitoring mission in Armenia and the potential for liberalizing visa requirements for Armenian nationals.

At the close of the meeting, Union representative Tigran Ghalumyan presented Maragos with a commemorative gift.
