Pashinyan to travel from Hamburg to Moscow

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a conversation with reporters in Hamburg that he will travel from there to Moscow to attend a session of the Eurasian Economic Union’s (EAEU) Intergovernmental Council.

His comments came in the context of discussing the compatibility between Armenia’s EAEU membership and its aspirations toward the European Union, as reported by lurer.am.

“We are deepening our ties with the EU, and from here I am going to Moscow. So, is there incompatibility or not? Clearly there is none, because both are happening in reality.

When we reach the point where we see there is an incompatibility, that’s when we’ll consider what decision to make. And we’ll make the decision that serves the interests of the Republic of Armenia,” the Prime Minister said.

On December 2 in Brussels, Armenia and the EU signed a Strategic Partnership Agenda following the 6th session of the EU-Armenia Partnership Council. The document was signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas.
