Khachik Galstyan, a member of the Homeland party, has issued a message from detention through his lawyer Arsen Babayan. The statement was published on Babayan’s Facebook page.
“I thank my supporters and like-minded friends for their support and civic stance during these days. I know it is very difficult.
In Nikol’s Armenia, where the Armenian conscience, faith, and patriotism are persecuted, while the stomach, satanism, and pan-Turkism are glorified.
My appeal to everyone: do not surrender, do not despair, do not conform.
On the contrary, believe, unite, and win.
The Armenian nation needs new leaders.
The Armenian nation needs a new quality of governance.
P.S. Knock, and it will be opened.
Seek, and you shall find,” the message reads.
Galstyan was arrested in connection with a criminal case initiated by Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee involving allegations of vote-buying during the November 16, 2025, municipal council elections in Vagharshapat, Armavir province. He is accused, along with other Homeland party members, of offering and receiving electoral bribes.
