Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the Mer Dzevov movement, will head the electoral list of businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan’s Strong Armenia party. The announcement was made on Facebook by Gohar Meloyan, a member of the party council and constitutional law expert.
“Karapetyan will lead the Strong Armenia party’s list as a transitional coordinator,” she wrote.
Meloyan also presented five key steps the party plans to implement if it comes to power:
“300,000 new jobs, particularly in the regions. Our compatriots will live and work in their homeland.
0% tax for small businesses. Hairdressers, bakers, artists, teachers, and others will create in favorable conditions and expand their activities.
20% cheaper medicines for everyone. Our compatriots will not be forced to travel abroad to purchase affordable medicines.
Guaranteed procurement of harvests in villages. Farmers’ primary concern will be cultivating their crops.
20,000 affordable apartments with state support. The state will promote family formation and assist newly established families,” Meloyan stated.
A video published on Samvel Karapetyan’s Facebook page says that at the first session of the newly formed parliament, the political force will initiate amendments to Article 148 of the Constitution.
The video also stresses that the Ministry of Agriculture will be reopened in the center of the Ararat Valley, in the Ararat and Armavir regions, described as the heart of the ministry, ensuring full procurement of harvests and a reduction in electricity tariffs.
It further notes that Strong Armenia party leader Samvel Karapetyan had to deliver his message through artificial intelligence, stating: “We will begin building a safe and prosperous life the very day after the elections.”
Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
