Armenia, Kazakhstan to cooperate in military intelligence

The Armenian government has approved a decision on the expediency of signing an agreement between the governments of Armenia and Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of military intelligence.

The document aims to establish a legal framework for cooperation between the two countries in the military intelligence sphere, Radar Armenia reported.

The agreement envisages official visits by the heads of authorized bodies, as well as working meetings involving experts.

It also provides for the exchange of intelligence information related to countering terrorist and extremist organizations, as well as on military-political developments of mutual interest.

According to the agreement, the parties undertake to ensure the protection of information obtained during cooperation and not transfer it to third parties without the written consent of the other side.

The document also states that the parties will not conduct military intelligence activities directed against each other.
