Martun Grigoryan joins Tsarukyan program for elections

Member of the National Assembly Martun Grigoryan announced on his Facebook page that he will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections under the Prosperous Armenia Party’s “Proposal for Armenia” program led by Gagik Tsarukyan.

He noted that he also participated in the 2025 Gyumri municipal elections with the aim of preventing the Civil Contract party from gaining power in the city.

According to him, persistent struggle made it possible to achieve that goal and the Civil Contract party did not gain authority in Gyumri. He emphasized that during this period his team went through serious trials.

“As a result of balanced, persistent and unbreakable struggle, we all together achieved that the Civil Contract party did not obtain power in Gyumri,” he wrote.

He added that the Gyumri elections are the best example for those who believe that nothing can be changed through elections anymore.

“Together with my teammates, in recent days we decided that we will participate in the National Assembly elections under the Prosperous Armenia Party’s ‘Proposal for Armenia’ program, led by Gagik Tsarukyan. With his vast experience, by creating an atmosphere of unity and solidarity, with great opportunities and personal connections, he has been and will remain the political figure and philanthropist who lives with the concerns and problems of our country’s large and small villages and cities.

In the coming period I will present and remind about the large-scale work carried out over the years jointly by Gagik Tsarukyan and myself aimed at improving the quality of life for residents of Shirak and Gyumri.

Soon we will discuss the provisions of the ‘Proposal for Armenia’ program, particularly those related to Shirak province and Gyumri,” he wrote.

National Assembly deputy Artur Sargsyan also stated in court that he will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Panorama.am reports.

He asked presiding judge Karen Farkhoyan why he was not given the opportunity to speak during the previous hearing when his house arrest was extended for another three months.

“Perhaps you are afraid of me. If that is the case, there is no need for that. But you are afraid not of me, but of my truthful words,” the opposition MP said.

Sargsyan stated that the court had restricted his movement but could not restrict his principles.

“You cannot limit the will of the people of Syunik who stand behind me. Whether I am in prison, on the street, or elsewhere, I will continue the struggle. As a native of Syunik, I will not kneel. I will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections,” he said, emphasizing that the court had also restricted the will and rights of his voters.

In response, judge Karen Farkhoyan said he was not afraid of anyone.

“Especially not of you or any other person,” Farkhoyan said.

Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled to be held on June 7, 2026.
