Two Armenians seek help leaving Iran

Armenian citizens crossing from Iran do not differ significantly from the usual level. Following the start of military actions in Iran, Armenia’s embassy has received requests from two Armenian citizens. This was reported on Facebook by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ani Badalyan.

One of them has already returned to Armenia without obstacles. The process of organizing the return of the second citizen is ongoing, and the embassy remains in constant contact with that person.

The embassy receives an average of 15–20 phone calls daily, most of which concern the passability of the Armenia–Iran border. Border crossings from Iran to Armenia and from Armenia to Iran have been operating normally on the Armenian side.

Due to communication restrictions in Iran, the Armenian embassy also helps relay information about Armenians in Iran to their relatives.

In addition to Armenian citizens, foreign nationals have also contacted the embassy seeking information about possibilities for entering Armenia. They are provided with relevant explanations and necessary guidance.

At the same time, the embassy is offering necessary assistance to diplomats accredited in the Islamic Republic of Iran and their family members, when needed, in organizing their return to their countries via Armenian territory, the statement said.
