Armenia selects Simon for Eurovision 2026

At the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Vienna, Austria, Armenia will be represented by Simon with the song Paloma Rumba. The announcement was made in a press release by Armenia’s Public Television.

“Paloma Rumba is an energetic and lively song that symbolizes freedom, movement and the need to follow the rhythm of one’s own life. It also highlights Simon’s charisma as a performer and promises to fill the Eurovision stage with rich and unforgettable sounds,” the statement said.

The broadcaster also released the official music video for the song.

The music for the song was written by Lilit Navasardyan, already known among Eurovision fans for several original works. The lyrics of Paloma Rumba were co-written by Rosa Linn, Davit Tsarukyan, and Eva Voskanyan, Armenpress reported.

Simon said: “For many years I dreamed about a big stage and Eurovision, and today my dream has become reality. This is the result of many years of hard work and unwavering belief. I hope my song will convey a sense of freedom, give powerful energy and remind you that sometimes achieving a dream and success requires only one brave step — stepping out of your comfort zone,” Simon said.

In 2025 Simon participated in Armenia’s national selection “Depi Evratesil,” finishing second, although he ranked first in the votes of both the local and international juries. In 2025 Armenia was represented in the contest by Parg.
