Opposition MP Lilit Galstyan from the Hayastan faction заявил в parliament that the current authorities and their leader are “legitimizing the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh,” which, in her words, amounts to genocide.

She recalled that in 2023, a government decision stated that Armenia had taken under its protection “people of Artsakh subjected to ethnic cleansing,” Aysor.am reported.

“I want to remind you of the disclosure and public statement by Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan, that the final statement was coordinated with Nikol Pashinyan,” she said.

Chairing the session, National Assembly Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan rejected the claim, stating: “That is a lie. I was present at all the discussions; nothing like that happened.”

Galstyan continued, insisting that Shahramanyan had said that Nikol Pashinyan had also worked on the document.

On March 26, Pashinyan stated that the decision to dissolve Artsakh had been made without his participation.

“As for the final decision, the person known to you made it independently. I do not know with whom he consulted; he spoke with me about it, and I asked what role Armenia had in all this. He said none, and I replied that in that case, you decide — make whatever decision you want,” he said.
