Armenia, India cooperate on finance management

Yerevan and New Delhi are preparing a finance cooperation memorandum as officials also explore broader economic ties amid rising trade turnover.

Armenia and India have expanded their cooperation agenda.

Armenia and India will cooperate in the field of financial management. According to Armenia’s Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan discussed the issue during a meeting with India’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha.

The finance ministries of the two countries plan to sign a memorandum aimed at improving the effectiveness of public financial systems. It provides for the exchange of knowledge and experience in budgeting, internal audit and the digital transformation of the sector.

Vahe Hovhannisyan and Nilakshi Saha Sinha also discussed possibilities for expanding economic cooperation, taking into account positive growth trends in trade turnover.
