
Olympic silver medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling Mihran Harutyunyan will compete in the AFS 1 mixed martial arts tournament on April 19 in Yerevan. His opponent will be Tajik fighter Muhammadrasul Khasanov, according to the tournament’s press service.
The event will take place at Tashir Arena.
The 37-year-old Khasanov has a professional MMA record of four wins and two losses, Factor.am reports.
Harutyunyan last fought on January 31 at the UNF 30 tournament in Los Angeles, where he defeated American fighter Shane Torres by decision.
The Armenian athlete has had nine MMA bouts, winning seven and losing two.
