From June 1, 2027, Armenian businesses exporting meat products to Oman will be required to obtain “HALAL” certification, according to the Food Safety Inspection Body.
The requirement applies to all economic operators involved in the production and export of meat products destined for the Sultanate of Oman.
“Taking into account the importance of promoting trade turnover between the Republic of Armenia and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the interest shown by the Omani side in importing Armenian agricultural products, including meat products, we inform that from June 1, 2027, Armenian producers and exporters must obtain ‘HALAL’ labeling certificates issued by bodies accredited by the Oman Food Safety and Quality Center,” the statement said.
