Yerevan welcomes 10-day ceasefire in Lebanon

The Armenian Embassy in Lebanon continues to operate in an emergency regime, providing necessary consultations and consular services.

Hotlines launched by the embassy remain active at +961 3 157 305 and +961 3 536 041, the Foreign Ministry reported.

The ministry also noted that Lebanon’s airspace remains open, with direct Beirut–Yerevan flights operating twice a week.

Regular meetings are being organized with Armenian citizens in Lebanon to discuss potential challenges arising from ongoing developments and to consider additional measures if needed.

Armenia’s Foreign Ministry also welcomed the establishment of a 10-day ceasefire in Lebanon, achieved through mediation efforts by U.S. President Donald Trump, describing it as an important step toward reducing tensions.

The ministry expressed hope that this development will contribute to comprehensive and lasting peace in the region, based on respect for the territorial integrity of all parties.

On April 17, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he had prevented Israel from carrying out strikes on Lebanon, stressing that such actions would not be repeated.

Israel and the Hezbollah movement confirmed their agreement to a 10-day ceasefire, which took effect on April 17 at 00:00.
