Armenia’s Corruption Prevention Commission reviewed expenses related to organizing the Torchlight March and concluded that the event had been financed through the budget of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), therefore no violations were identified, according to Union of Informed Citizens coordinator Daniel Ioannisyan.
“It is welcome that, despite the tactless criticism apparently directed at us by some representatives of the ‘Against Everyone’ group, the ARF acknowledges that the Torchlight March is a party event and respects the regulations established by the law ‘On Political Parties.’
P.S. The Corruption Prevention Commission is still reviewing the complaint submitted by Independent Observer regarding the Civil Contract party, in which we argue that the concerts held in Gyumri on April 19 and in Yerevan on April 25 violated the ban under the law ‘On Political Parties’ on receiving in-kind donations from legal entities,” Ioannisyan wrote.
