
The Armenian national team competed with 13 athletes at the Kyokushin Karate European Championship in Greece and won nine medals.
Armenian athletes won nine medals at the Kyokushin Karate European Championship held in the Greek city of Trikala.
The Armenian team participated in the tournament with 13 athletes and secured four gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
Elen Yepremyan, Erik Kostandyan, Alen Yegoryan and Mher Temiryan became gold medalists. Viktoria Hayrapetyan finished in second place, while Vahagn Hakobyan, Artur Zakaryan, Davit Marabyan and Volodya Mkrtchyan won bronze medals, the federation reported.
The Armenian delegation traveled to the tournament under the leadership of Հայաստանի Kyokushin Karate Federation President, Shihan Andranik Hakobyan. Coaches Gevorg Manukyan and Sargis Hakobyan also accompanied the athletes.
The federation provided financial support to the winners of the Armenian championship to participate in the European Championship. Around 450 athletes from 23 countries took part in the tournament.
