Former Armenia national team captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan was named the best player of the Italian league match between Inter and Verona in the penultimate round of the season.

In the 1-1 draw, the 37-year-old midfielder started for Inter and played the entire match without substitution, Factor.am reports.

Inter let victory slip away in the closing minutes of the match. In the 47th minute, Verona defender Andrias Edmundsson scored an own goal. In stoppage time, Scottish forward Kieron Bowie equalized for the visitors.

After the match, Inter also received the championship trophy. The team coached by Cristian Chivu had already secured the league title in the previous round.

With one round remaining in the season, Inter has collected 86 points. Napoli, sitting in second place, has 73 points.
