Man who argued with Pashinyan detained

Artsakh native and chairman of the Artsakh Revolutionary Party Arthur Osipyan, who argued with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has been detained, lawyer Roman Yeritsyan wrote on Facebook.

“At this moment he is at the Arabkir police department,” Yeritsyan said.

The lawyer added that Osipyan’s phone is switched off and his Facebook account has been blocked.

Earlier during the confrontation, Pashinyan said, “Arthur Osipyan or whatever his name is, let him explain why he is alive while our boys are dead.”

Osipyan had approached Prime Minister Pashinyan during an election campaign event in Yerevan’s Arabkir district and asked questions regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. Pashinyan repeated his earlier position that “the Karabakh issue was a trap.”

Arthur Osipyan accused Pashinyan of supporting corruption in Artsakh.

“You distributed money through Arayik,” he said, referring to former Artsakh president Arayik Harutyunyan.

Pashinyan then responded sharply, saying: “Get lost, you fool.”
