Defense expo showcases equipment in service

Most of the products displayed at the RISE 2026 defense industry exhibition are already being supplied to the Armenian Armed Forces, National Assembly Vice Speaker Hakob Arshakyan told reporters.

According to Factor.am , Arshakyan said Armenia has made significant progress in recent years in both the defense industry and high-tech sectors.

“Supplying equipment to the army without testing is prohibited by law. Most of the exhibits presented here are already being delivered to the armed forces, although there are also concepts that still need to undergo the necessary testing procedures,” he said.

Asked what share of the military’s arsenal consists of domestically produced equipment, Arshakyan did not provide a specific figure. However, he emphasized that procurement from local manufacturers has increased by dozens of times compared with 2018, and in some areas by hundreds of times.

The RISE 2026 exhibition, held on June 3 and 4 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, showcases the capabilities of Armenia’s defense industry and scientific-technological sectors.
