
UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, currently ranked second in the division, is set to hold his next bout in the RAF (Real American Freestyle) league in Tbilisi.
On July 11, the Armenian athlete will face Kuat Khamitov of Kazakhstan in the Georgian capital. According to RAF’s press service, the freestyle wrestling rules contest will take place in the middleweight division, Factor.am reports.
Earlier reports indicated that the 29-year-old Tsarukyan would compete in upcoming RAF events against several well-known former UFC fighters. On June 13, he is scheduled to face Tony Ferguson of the United States, while on July 18 he is expected to meet Colby Covington.
Tsarukyan made his RAF debut in January this year. Since then, he has competed in five matches and recorded five victories.
In mixed martial arts (MMA), the Armenian representative has taken part in 26 fights, posting a record of 23 wins and 3 losses.
The 38-year-old Khamitov has recorded 28 wins, 8 losses, and 2 draws in MMA competition.
