
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Meridian Expo Center to review preparations for the COP17 conference, which will be held in Armenia this October.
Minister of Environment Hambardzum Matevosyan presented to the prime minister the construction work being carried out at the venue, the conditions being created and the available technical capabilities.
Pashinyan was briefed on efforts to ensure the availability and compliance of infrastructure and services, as well as on work aimed at establishing the facilities required for hosting the conference.
The prime minister emphasized the importance of organizing and conducting COP17 at a high level and issued a number of instructions on various matters.
The 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity will be held at Yerevan’s Meridian Expo Center from October 18 to 30, 2026.
