
The United States Council for International Business (USCIB) is planning to send a business delegation to Armenia for the COP17 conference in Yerevan, according to discussions held between Armenian Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan and USCIB representatives.
Mkrtchyan met with Kristen Kaufer, Senior Vice President for Global Impact Initiatives, and Agnes Winblad, Senior Director for Environment and Sustainable Development.
Their talks focused on prospects for closer cooperation between Armenia and USCIB, including collaboration on sustainable development, policy development in the field, greater private-sector engagement and the expansion of international partnerships.
The ambassador also outlined the Armenian government's ongoing economic reforms and measures aimed at improving the country's investment climate. He emphasized the importance of strengthening ties with international business communities, the Armenian Embassy in the United States said in a statement.
The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) will be held at Yerevan's Meridian Expo Center from October 18 to 30, 2026.
