
Aram Vardevanyan, elected to parliament on the Strong Armenia list, may be nominated for the deputy speaker position reserved for the opposition.
Narek Karapetyan, who heads the Strong Armenia list, did not rule out the possibility in comments to journalists, Auroranews.am reports.
Under the National Assembly’s Rules of Procedure law, one of parliament’s three deputy speaker positions must be held by an opposition representative.
According to the final election results, Civil Contract entered parliament with 64 seats, Strong Armenia with 29 seats and Hayastan with 12 seats.
