NATO Parliamentary Assembly chairman Rafael Estrella, who is in Yerevan with familiarization visit, has stated Armenia's becoming a NATO full member is possible. According to him, this might become real within the next few years. He has noted Azerbaijan and Georgian have the same chances to join the NATO. "Nowadays Europe is not the same as it used to be. There are no enemies on our continent any more. After September 11, the realization of that we are on the same boat has become more clear", chairman Estrella has stated. It should be reminded that Armenia has already submitted the application for becoming the NATO Parliamentary Assembly associative member. This issue will be considered at the meeting of the permanent commission at the NATO PA next session taking place May 24-28 in Sofia. The Armenian delegation will participate in the plenary session as an observer.
