The 1915 events in Ottoman Turkey can be qualified as genocide. NATO PA chairman Rafael Estrella stated this at the press conference in Yerevan today. According to him, the organized mass slaughter of Armenians is the supreme crime against the humanity and it is difficult to compare anything with it. At the same time Estrella noted the tragic events at the beginning of last century should not hamper the establishment of Armenia-Turkey neighborly relations. "We should turn to future", stated the NATO PA chairman.
