ASUE to introduce computerized checking system
"Tuition fee in our university hasn't changed over the past four years. Considering the economic crisis, we do realize the situation of our citizens paying for their children's tuition," Yuri Suvaryan, Rector of Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), told journalists. Since the end of last year, more than 30 student have been unable to pay tuition fee, but none of them was expelled from University. We have given them opportunity to pay off their debts by the end of September, ASUE Rector said.
In comparison with other leading universities of Armenia, tuition fee in ASUE is within average limits, Suvaryan noted.
Like previous years, the most popular faculties in university are financial and credit, management and international economic relations departments. Beginning this year, University will operate a faculty of economic journalism to provide specialized education for future journalists writing on economic themes.
Touching upon methods of combating corruption, Suvaryan said all exams in ASUE were taken in written form, and University will soon introduce computerized checking system to exclude instructors' participation in marking students' tests.
