The amendments suggested in the PACE political committee's report on political prisoners in Azerbaijan are conncted with the items which can influence the internal political situation in the country. As reported by "525" Baku newspaper, head of the Azeri delegation in PACE Ilham Aliyev told journalists. In his words, the above-mentioned George Clearfight's report broaches not only the juridical but also political aspects. "Figures who committed grave crimes and whose discharge presents threat for the Azeri state are mentioned in the report", - Ilham Aliyev told after the sitting of the PACE political committee in Strasbourg. It should be noted that the sitting was held yesterday on the Azeri party initiative the reason for it being George Clearfight's report on political prisoners in Azerbaijan.
