YSU hosted book presentation dedicated to its 90th anniversary
Yerevan State University (YSU) has today hosted a book presentation dedicated to its 90th anniversary. The books were devoted to YSU history. Among them were "Yerevan State University" book album introducing all faculties and departments, "YSU: Chronicles", the first book telling about YSU's history since its inceptions, "The Call of Heart" containing famous people's records on YSU, etc.

"I want to express special gratitude to those who have made their contribution to such noble initiative. The books impart special luster to university's cultural and scientific heritage," YSU President Aram Harutyunyan said.

The same day, YSU central department opened a photo exhibition and а gallery displaying works by students and faculty staff.

Besides, Professors and faculty members were handed university awards and honor medals.

Event was sponsored by Arshininvestbank (ASHB), Yerevan Brandy Factory, MAP Company and "Old Erivan Holding".

Yerevan State University was founded on May 16, 1919 by a Government decision. One of the largest scientific-educational institutions in Armenia, it currently has 13 thousand students studying in 20 faculties, as well as 1500 faculty members, with 197 having scientific degrees (504 associate professors, 405 assistant lecturers and over 500 instructors).

There are 25 academicians and 23 NAS correspondent members carrying out scientific work in YSU.
