TURKS RESIDING IN FRANCE DISTURBED BY ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RECOGNITION CAMPAIGN SCALE
The Union of Turkish Organizations of France has addressed letters to the country President Jacques Chirac, Prime Minister Lionel Jospen and other French political figures. The letters say that official Yerevan allegedly continues aggravating the enmity between the Armenian and Turkish peoples, insisting on the recognition of the fact of the Armenian Genocide. In the opinion of the Turkish associations of France, such pressure by local Armenian communities «does not contribute to establishment of peaceful relations between the two peoples.»
