David Silva: Chance to beat new record is stimulus for Armenian team
Valensia's half-back David Silva announced that Spanish team will do its best to beat a new record by holding 10 victories in WC-2010 qualification matches.
Silva finds forward David Villa's absence a great disadvantage for Spain in upcoming match vs. Armenia. However, he is hopeful that Alvaro Negredo who's going to replace him will fill the gap.
"Villa is a key figure in our team. That is seen in the number of goals he has beaten. However, we have forwards who are capable of replacing him. Alvaro is one of them. I hope he'll be able to demonstrate his skills in the match," Silva noted.
Summing up, Silva also said a couple of words about Spanish team, focusing particularly on Vincent del Bosque's tactical schemes.
"Two of tactical schemes selected by del Bosque are perfect. Following them, we held victory in European championship, as well as attained positive results in recent matches. But I can't insist on these systems to be universal. Our scheme also depends upon the rival. However, we'll hold victory in final two matches, cost what it may, " Bat's forward said.
