TURKEY SENDS ITS PEACEKEEPERS TO AFGHANISTAN
Turkey has sent its peacekeeping units to Afghanistan since February 15. As Turkish state Anatolia news agency reports, official Ankara has stated that it will send 260 soldiers and expressed readiness to take command over peacekeeping units after the term of command of the Great Britain over peacekeeping forces expires. Besides, Ankara has suggested its help to the new government of Kabul for reconstruction of the country, for training of the national army and also for establishment of police system.
