Argentinean Armenian tennis player David Nalbandian began his performance with a victory at Buenos Aires showcase tournament. December 18 in his opening match in Argentina-2009 Cup (Copa Argentina) Group A 27-year-old Nalbandian, who currently ranks 64th, has met with former number one 33-year-old Spaniard Carlos Moya, ranking currently 448th. 

According gotennis.com, Nalbandian managed to win with a score of 6:2, 6:4. 

Recall that both tennis players missed most of this season because of injuries.

December 19 matches Baghdatis vs. Monaco and Nalbandian vs. Gaudio will take place. Winners will play in the finals on December 20.
