Armenia missed a chance to unmask Turkey

The process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations will fail if continues as it is, according to Hovhannes Igityan, member of Armenian National Movement board, former chairman of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations.

“By the end of the process, Armenia and Turkey will become more hostile than they used to be before,” he told a news conference on Friday.

“A country which experiences internal problems can’t succeed in foreign policy,” Igityan said, adding that superpowers eye Armenia as a dictatorial regime.

He also criticized Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian for preventing his Turkish counterpart from making a speech after the ceremony of signing the Protocols in Zurich.

“Armenia missed a chance to unmask Turkey,” he said.
