AZERI LIBERALS SUGGEST TURNING ARMENIA INTO "IREVAN-ZANGEZUR AUTONOMOUS REPUBLIC" OF AZERBAIJAN
At the yesterday's meeting of the political council of the Liberal Party of Azerbaijan a rather curious way of settling the Armenian-Azeri conflict was suggested. As chairman of the party executive committee Avez Temirhan reported in an interview to Baku MPA agency, the leaders of the Liberal Party of Azerbaijan have come out with an initiative to create "Irevan-Zangezur Autonomous Republic" as part of Azerbaijan. The authors of the idea suggest this Azeri autonomy to include Syunik, Gegharkunik, Ararat districts and a number of other regions of contemporary Armenia. In Temirhan's opinion, this can help to settle the Karabakh conflict.
