Today leader of "Orinats Yerkir" party Artur Baghdasarian was elected chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia of the third convocation. 93 out of the 103 deputies present at the National Assembly sitting voted for A. Baghdasarian. 6 deputies were against him. A. Baghdasarian was nominated for the speaker by political forces making part of the newly formed coalition (Republican Party, "Orinats Yerkir" and ARF "Dashnaktsutyun").
