Raising of Sevan water level was discussed at governmental conference headed by RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.
At the conference, RA Nature Preservation Minister Aram Harutyunyan presented the 2002-2010 dynamics of lake upsurge (36cm. per year). However, Sevan Issues Committee-submitted schedule envisages 4,65-meter upsurge in 2009 through 2031 (15-20cm. per year).
A number of problems occurred as a result of excessive upsurge rate. Sevan Issues Committee chairman presented the current situation, as well as solutions to the problem.
RA Prime Minister assigned all Ministries in charge to submit the list of relevant problems and ways to resolve them within a week’s time, governmental press service reported.
