Expert of the Armenian Center of Political and International Studies Ruben Mehrabyan said there were both Madrid principles and renewed Madrid principles. “But it is a fact that none of countries refers to these documents today – even Turkey,” Mehrabyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to the expert, it is a working document, which is exploited by Baku for propagandistic purposes.

He added that foreign players in the region are interested in keeping the current status-quo, what does not satisfy the Azerbaijani authorities and may lead to political problems inside the country.

Meanwhile, the Armenian expert added that hostilities resumption is unlikely. “Even if it happens, Baku will not benefit from it,” concluded the expert.
