Republic of Artsakh, which announced independence simultaneously with 3 South Caucasus states, is the only state in region without outrageous instances of human rights violation, according to Heritage parliamentary group member Zaruhi Postanjyan .

In her statement, delivered during PACE summer session, Zaruhi Postanjyan presented human rights situation in Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. She invited the attention of European community to article 301 of Turkish Criminal Code, envisaging criminal responsibility for discussing the Armenian Genocide.

In her statement, Zaruhi Postanjyan dwelled on Azerbaijan’s anti-Armenian policy, elimination of cultural heritage in Nakhijevan, also expressing concern over issues related to preservation of Armenian identity in Samtskhe-Javakheti.
